Steve is a dedicated and professional cabaret entertainer, singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist. He has been performing for many years, at clubs, pubs, wine bars, restaurants cafes and private functions and charity fundraisers. During this time he studied guitar, vocal production and songwriting with Allan Caswell, writer of the worldwide hit song ‘’ON THE INSIDE’’.
He has been a support act for Aussie entertainment legends JIMMY LITTLE, TV personality and comedian HARRIET and also GEOFF MACK, writer of worldwide hit song ‘’I’VE BEEN EVERYWHERE MAN’’.
In 1988, he signed his first song-writing publishing contract with RAPP RECORDS in Nashville USA and has had songs released here in Australia and USA
In 1995 he wrote the title track for Australia’s “KING OF COUNTRY“, SLIM DUSTY’s 89TH ALBUM “COUNTRY WAY OF LIFE” and this song was a finalist for the APRA country song of the year. He has twice been a finalist in the Australian national country songwriting competition.
He recently signed a recording contract with DOC HOLIDAY PRODUCTIONS in NASHVILLE U.S.A. and recorded a song he had written called ‘STILL LOTS OF COUNTRY IN THE BOY’’ for the 2017 break out series project in which won him two silver GLOBAL MUSIC AWARDS and reached number three in the Independent Music COUNTRY charts in the U S A.
Recently he recorded a seven-song.E.P, called ‘’RODE IT TO THE TOP’’, which made the ballot nomination for a 2018 GRAMMY AWARD. Steve has also received a Grammy Nomination for the 2019 Awards for the album “YESTERDAY” and a TELE AWARD Nomination for the video of “Cincinnati Rain” featuring Becky Hobbs.
